Though this blog is dedicated to my adoption-related experiences, this is only one piece of who I am.
I am a martial artist: to be precise, I am a 3rd degree black belt in Olympic-style Taekwondo. I have been a full-time instructor at my dojang since 2009. In addition to teaching, I love to compete and referee, and have done both at the national level. Martial arts are a great passion, something that I share with my husband.
I met my James at our Taekwondo studio. For more of our story, you can visit our family blog here. Married life is seriously awesome!
Our wonderful marriage has also resulted in our wonderful new addition, Baby J, who has become the adorable center of our lives.
In addition to my family and my job, I fill my time with writing. With my co-author Samuel Stubbs, I have written and published two books, The Tale of Telsharu and The Scourge of Narak. They are fantasy novels set in a fictional Asian world, full of martial arts, intrigue, and adventure. You can find out more at our author blog.
I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, aka the LDS Church, aka the Mormons. My religion is an essential part of who I am, and is usually a part of the reason behind what I do. The church has an awesome website where you can learn more about our beliefs. Check it out at mormon.org.
